A little sweetie for my piece of the week this wee A little sweetie for my piece of the week this week. On Monday, after work, I made a Supermoon lampshade for myself to hang in the mezzanine. I had black (from the trees) and white (from the moon) colour left over and I was being called to supper so rather than make another Supermoon piece I used the colour to make this heart. It turned out rather well!

I made them to demonstrate the technique for an advanced glassblowing class this week. 
I’ve done so many classes this year that on the 16th and 17th May I will be having a 25% off sale of my standard demo vases, paperweights and seconds.

Walking the dog earlier this week I found a little Walking the dog earlier this week I found a little pile of pheasant feathers 🪶🪶🪶🪶🪶
I suspect our resident fox got lucky and one of our local pheasants, sadly, did not. 
They are not overly endowed with brains at the best of times and now, while they are busy courting, they seem even more brainless -sad end though😢😢😢

These three pieces use a technique as old as glassblowing itself called trailing and feathering.I made them to demonstrate the technique for an advanced glassblowing class this week.
