Dragonflies emerging

With the furnace off I have had more time to sit quietly by the pond and this spring I have been lucky enough to watch several dragonflies emerge from the pond, gradually straighten out their wings and take their first flight.

Dragonfly just emerged from the pond.

This one emerged in the early morning and I love the way the rain drops are like jewels on the wings

I feel a new piece could come from this……………..

    Dragonflies are incredible and certainly worth inspiration.

      My pond was only created last year so I am delighted that so many dragonflies are emerging from it so soon.
